This super fast, super easy breaky idea is perfect for the kids on school holidays – they will love it! Actually, adults will love it too!!
Toad In The Hole (serves 1)
Preparation Time: 1 minute
Cooking Time: 3 minutes
Ingredients
*1 piece bread (preferably multigrain)
*1 egg
Method
1. Cut a circle in the middle of a piece of bread (either with a cookie cutter, the top of a glass or lightly fold bread in half and pull out a half circle).
2. Heat a non-stick pan and place the bread in the pan and crack an egg in the hole.
3. When the egg is fairly well set, turn the bread and egg over (with an egg flip) to cook the other side, being careful not to break the yolk.
4. In the meantime, toast/grill the hole from the middle of the bread for dipping in the yolk.
5. Once both sides are cooked, remove from pan, put on a plate and add pepper or other seasoning as desired.
6. Enjoy for breaky or as a quick, fun snack!
Option
*You could toast the bread before you put it in the pan if you like your bread cooked a little more.
*If you don’t have a non-stick pan, add a little butter to the pan before placing the bread in or butter the bread to stop it sticking.

This is an old favourite. Also done it with capsicum rings!
